Honey of a Thousand Flowers

This past week we finished up our last wedding of  “the season”.  I have much to show you in way of the great weddings and other endeavors we created for this season so keep watching the blog.  Our availability has become limited as I the owner have another fantastic opportunity to indulge in for the next three months.  We are still available for one spot in November and two in December for the remainder of the 2011 year.

Taking a three month hiatus has equated to many referrals outside of our studio, onto the designers that hold my admiration. One of those such designers is Sarah J Winward of Honey of a Thousand Flowers. Because I admire her so greatly I thought it would be useful in the coming months for my readers to become acquainted with her and her new little shop!

This is the lovely Sarah …

She is truthfully the kind of designer that is easy going and natural. Her work looks effortless but is complicated and lovely with a stunning focus on large blooms and lovely earthy creations.

her new shop …

Her studio pleasantly sits @ 962 east & 900 south in slc, and is open by appointment only. The amazing wall mural is inspired by fabric and was done by the multi-talented Sarah and a friend. This is Sarah’s place to create, and exemplifies a little piece of her where her clients can grasp her genuine feel.

Americana Lakeside Inspiration Shoot for UBB

I realize that I am at a complete advantage to have the opportunity to participate in inspiration at UBB. {If you dont already know, I am the co-owner of that fine inspiring blog!} But mind you I have hand selected 3 other florists for the other inspiration shoots we have done or will be doing for the year. Beyond the idea that I have this advantage, I truly do feel privileged to be able to participate, experience, design, and create with so many talented vendors. As well as push myself artistically in ways I cant always push when designing for clients.

This week on the blog if you haven’t seen it already we posted all week long about our summer lakeside inspiration shoot. The color scheme red . white . & blue {of course} and the theme … naturally … All American! But today is special, because as usual on the blog its Flower Friday … a day where you can see the flowers from the shoot in a more specific manner as well as find some advice and info from yours truly.

So here is a little taste, but really you should just head on over to UBB!

Happy 4th of July … May you all have a blessed and safe holiday weekend!
